Crypto ransomware is a type of malicious software, categorized as malware with the purpose to lock computer user’s computer, files, program, web browser etc, and demand users to pay a certain amount of money in order to unlock the locked items. A Crypto ransomware, like many other malware, can arrive in a variety of ways. However, it is mainly distributed via phishing emails that contain malicious attachments and drive-by downloading.
