Step 2> Repair network settings like hosts files and DNS settings

After eliminating this Trojan you should check your operating system's Hosts file. Information stored in this file is responsible for resolving canonical names of websites - if the information in this file is changed by malicious program you could encounter redirect problems while surfing the Internet.

Check out Hosts files

Hosts file is used to resolve some canonical names of websites to ip addresses. When it is changed, the user may be redirected to malicious site still seeing good URL in address bar. It is very hard to find out if the site is genuine or not, when hosts file is modified. To fix this, follow below instructions:

Click Start, click Run, type %systemroot% \system32\drivers\etc, and then click OK.

Rename the Hosts file to Hosts.old.

Create a new default hosts file. To do this, follow these steps:

Right-click an open space in the %WinDir%\System32\Drivers\Etc folder, point to New, click Text Document, type hosts, and then press Enter.

Click Yes to confirm that the file name extension will not be .txt.

Open the new Hosts file in a text editor. For example, open the file in Notepad.

Copy the following text to the file:
