How to Uninstall Unwanted Toolbar from Your Internet Explorer -Tips and Tricks

You may have installed a toolbar by accident and you want to uninstall it. Read on this post to learn how to uninstall unwanted toolbar from your Internet Explorer.

Some toolbars claim that they can improve your surfing experience and ask you to install them when you browser on the Internet or when you update or install other programs. In most case, toolbars spread themselves by bundling with other famous programs, and they install on users computer with their inadvertent consent. Toolbars turn out having no real purpose other than to deliver advertisements for their associated sites. As a matter of fact, many toolbar is a source of malicious delivery, privacy leakage.

If you find your browsers are installed with unwanted toolbar, you are highly encouraged to uninstall them now. Please check following step-by-step guide on how to uninstall toolbar from your web browser.

Step1, Remove the unwanted toolbar from control panel

Before you go to manually manage your web browser, you need go to the control to uninstall the toolbar from your add/remove list.

1) Locate and open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button, clicking on Control panel--and then click "Uninstall a program" under "Programs" in you are under Control Panel View. If you are in Classic View, click on "Programs and Features".


2) Select a program to uninstall by clicking on it and then click "Uninstall" or "Uninstall/Change" depending on the program. You may need to enter your administrator password to continue your operating. After you press the Uninstall button, all program related file will be removed from your computer. Please pay attention that there are always more than one item related with the toolbar that need to be removed from the program list, such as Babylon search, Babylon Toolbar, etc.


Step2. Rmove the unwanted toolbar from your web Browser

1) Open Internet Explorer. Go to Tools → Manage Add-ons.


2) Select Toolbars and Extensions.Select the toolbar you unwanted and click Disable to disable the toolbar.


3) Select Search Providers. First of all, choose Bing search engine or other search engine and make it your default search provider
(set as default). Then select Search the web (toolbar related) and click Remove button to uninstall it (lower right corner of the
