Your homepage has been changed and your searching results have been constantly redirected to search.conduit.com? Read this post to fix this issue.

Search.conduit.com is actually non-malicious hijacker that often bundled with freeware/shareware to install its toolbar and hijacker the browsers by changing the homepage and redirecting although many users encounter this issue and find it hard to remove and thus suspect it’s virus that harms the computer. Till now there have been no reports that either the http://search.conduit.com or search.conduit toolbar has any malicious incidents, extra installs and any progressions. Thus when it comes to the conclusion, search.conduit.com is non-malicious hijacker, or rather browser object helper, but does behave annoying to some users.

To be concise, search.comduit.com is actually an online search engine from Conduit Software regardless that it makes many users frustrating because its toolbar makes unauthorized changes to the web browser settings. This Browser Helper Object is usually accessed through a toolbar for the web browser, and in most cases, users are unknown when they install this, so no wonder that it appears so much like a browser hijacker or redirect virus.

Anything which hijacks your system and prevents you from making changes you would like to make in their interest and not yours is a form of malware in my definition. This software deliberately prevents (or obfuscating the ability of) the user from changing his/her homepage permanently using normal procedures. It is form of malware, just operating within legal limits. These cheap practices are not unnoticed by customers, and are not a good long term business model.

Absolutely right. They use normal procedures to install on users' computer but perform as malware.
All this kind of toolbar or search engines should be removed to avoid potential threats.

I installed uTorrent to download some linux isos and they have that bundles with their application. I brought it up to their attention that it's very annoying, no matter how many times I change the homepage it's always changed back to conduit search. I told them that they are packaging a browser hijack virus (and rightly so!) they deleted the post and my account.
